Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast
January 17th, 2005 by SamThis morning I attended my third Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast at the Koury Center in Greensboro. The featured speaker was Dr. Crystal Kuykendall and she was amazing! Her presentation was centered on children. She shared about something she learned when setting up house for one of her daughters who was an exchange student in Kenya for a year. She went and visited a village of the Masai and learned their traditional greeting that means, “How are the children?” If the children are well, then the village is well. Makes sense. What would be the answer if we asked that here in the U.S.?
