A former co-worker and all-around “interesting” guy has started a blog with a cohort. Strange Tidings hopes to provide lots of links to lots of strange and weird stuff. Knowing Shigoki, there will indeed be some cool stuff there. I’ve added Strange Tidings to my RSS reader and will be keeping an eye on these guys. Good luck, guys!
Twice now, I’ve seen this ad for Veramyst - a prescription medication for allergies. Is it just me or is there something glaringly wrong with a pharmaceutical company marketing something with the following notice?
“The way VERAMYST works is not entirely understood.”
I’ve looked on the Veramyst website and find nothing that reiterates this warning, at least nothing in layman terms.
I saw this the other night on our way home and we just happened to have the camera with us last night. It’s in a cemetary near our home and it is so weird to see something this bright in the cemetary in the middle of the night. It’s apparently a white diode solar-charged doohicky cross thingy that’s been placed in front of a grave headstone. Other graves have the little solar-charged diode landscaping lights on them. I’ve never seen such a thing nor heard of it. I’d not be surprised if it were started here in the South. No judgment here, but I do reserve the right to slowly shake my head, sigh and lightly chuckle…
